Skywalk connects two neighbourhoods
Copenhagen Science City became more close-knit in 2015 with the establishment of a 120-ton skywalk between two sections of one of the largest new buildings in the area, the Niels Bohr Building.
With the aid of just a single lift, Copenhagen Science City gained a 39-metre-long bridge weighing in at 120 tons.
The skywalk connects two sections of the Niels Bohr Building and stretches across Jagtvej – one of Copenhagen’s major roads leading to the city centre – from the Haraldsgade neighbourhood to University Park.
The Niels Bohr Building will be home to new, state-of-the-art laboratory and teaching facilities for the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Science.
